ENGINEERING THE HEIGHT OF REFINERY PERFORMANCE,

RAS TANURA REFINERY

Ras Tanura

RAISING THE STANDARD FOR COMPLEX INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURES

Project Overview

The Ras Tanura Refinery is one of Saudi Aramco's major refining assets, with the refinery supporting large-scale oil processing and downstream operations.

The project scope represented within DAR Al-Afaal's portfolio includes key industrial structures associated with the refinery environment, including flare, pipe rack and heater works.

The scale and complexity of the flare system demanded highly engineered structural solutions, with the Ras Tanura flare reaching approximately 200 metres in height and incorporating five flare risers supported by a 190-metre derrick.

  • FLARE STRUCTURES
  • Large-scale steel structures supporting the refinery's flare system and associated risers.
  • PIPE RACKS
  • Structural frameworks designed to support and route process piping across interconnected refinery facilities.
  • HEATER STRUCTURES
  • Steel structures supporting refinery heater systems and their associated operational requirements.

Project Highlights

  • 200 m FLARE SYSTEM HEIGHT
  • 190 m DERRICK HEIGHT
  • 1,565 MT DERRICK STRUCTURE
  • 5 FLARE RISERS
